Actress Leelavathi Health Update: Her Condition Is Better Today, Says Son Vinod Raj

Veteran Kannada actress Leelavathi's health condition is better today when compared to yesterday, her son Vinod Raj told a Kannada channel.

The actress is suffering from age-related ailments and is being treated at her farmhouse in Soladevanahalli in Nelamangala.

Challenging Star Darshan paid a visit to her residence to enquire about her health on Sunday. He spent half an hour at her house.

As per her wish, Vinod Raj has constructed a veterinary hospital in Soldevanahalli. It was inaugurated on Saturday.

Senior actor Srinath, Arjun Sarja, Malavika, Tennis Krishna, and Doddanna are some of the actors who have visited Vinod Raj's house.

Leelavathi has acted in over 600 films (more than 400 in Kannada alone) in her career spanning over 50 years. She is known for her memorable performances in 'Bhakta Kumbara', 'Mana Mecchida Madadi' and 'Santha Thukaram'. She has been the recipient of the Dr Rajkumar Award in 1999 and Filmfare Awards.

She holds the rare honour of working with Rajkumar in different films, playing roles such as his daughter (in 'Bhoodana'), sister (in 'Vathsalya'), sister-in-law (in 'Premamayi'), elder brother's wife (in 'Kalitharu Henne'), paternal aunt (in 'Shravana Banthu'), mother-in-law (in 'Vasantha Geetha', 'Naa Ninna Mareyalare', 'Jwaalamukhi'), and daughter-in-law (in 'Kitturu Chennamma').

Her son Vinod Raj has also worked in several movies including 'Dance Raja Dance', 'Krishna Nee Kunidaga', 'College Hero' and 'Mahabharatha'.
