Actor Prashanth Gives Interview While Riding Bike Chennai Cops Impose Fine For Not Wearing Helmet

The action was taken after a publication posted a clip on its social media account. In the video, the actor is seen talking about how he learned to ride a bike.

The interview is a part of the movie promotion for his upcoming movie 'Andhagan' which will be released on August 9. The Tamil flick is directed by his father Thiagarajan.

However, netizens wasted no time to slam the publication and the actor for setting a wrong example with the interview. One user said, "@tnpoliceoffl this is a wrong example of not wearing helmet for safety and recording video on road while travel and making public neusense on road. Not putting any safety instructions in the video. Kindly file a case against the channel. @chennaicorp ??? what are you doing?"

Another user commented, "Please wear a helmet. Be a good citizen."

The third user said: "Sir helmet podala nu case pottra poranga sir...@chennaipolice_@tnpoliceoffl is helmet mandatory only commoners?"

'Andhagan' is the Tamil remake of the 2018 film Andhadhun, originally directed by Sriram Raghavan and starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Tabu in the lead roles. In the Tamil version, Prashanth and Simran take over the lead roles, with Priya Anand stepping into the character originally portrayed by Radhika Apte.

The film also features a talented ensemble cast, including Karthik, Samuthirakani, Urvashi, Yogi Babu, and Vanitha Vijayakumar, among others. The technical team includes cinematographer Ravi Yadav, editor Sathish Suriya, and music composer Santhosh Narayanan. Andhadhun has also been remade in Telugu as Maestro, starring Nithiin, Tamannaah, and Nabha Natesh, and in Malayalam as Bhramam with Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role.

In addition, Prashanth is set to play a significant role in Thalapathy Vijay's upcoming film The GOAT, directed by Venkat Prabhu, and has been prominently featured in the film's promotional activities.
