Actor Govinda Thanks Supporters In Audio Message After Being Shot In Leg Ahead Of Kolkata Event

After being accidentally shot in the leg on Friday morning, actor and politician Govinda has released his first statement regarding the incident. In an audio message, he expressed gratitude to the medical staff and fans for their prayers. He confirmed that the bullet has been successfully removed and that he is now stable. "Namaskar, pranaam, main hoon Govinda. Aap sab logo ka aashirwaad, maa baap ka aashirwaad, or guru ki kripa ki wajah se, goli lagi thi par woh nikaal di gayi hai. Main dhanyawaad deta hoon yahan pe doctor ka or aap sab logo ki prarthana ke liye. Aap logo ka dhanyawaad," Govinda said in his message.

The incident occurred as the actor was preparing to leave for Kolkata to attend a show. While he was packing his clothes, a revolver fell from a shelf and accidentally discharged, resulting in a shot to his left leg below the knee.

According to the latest report, the bullet has been removed, and the actor is currently stable. He may be discharged by late evening or the following day. Govinda's daughter, Tina, is at the hospital to care for him.

Earlier this year, Govinda joined the Shiv Sena party in anticipation of the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections, marking a continuation of his political journey that began with the Congress party in 2004. On the film front, his most recent appearance was in the 2019 release Rangeela Raja.
