Aavesham OTT Release Date; Huge Box Office Hit, How To Watch, Details Below

Aavesham's trailer, which released on 24 Jan 2024, has received over 78 lakh views. Its ticket sales netted around 79.60 crore in India, with a majority of them being from Kerala, according to data from Sacnilk.

Despite its success in theatres though, Aavesham is currently readying itself for an OTT release.

According to an entertainment industry tracker, Shreedhar Pilai, Aavesham is going to appear on the Amazon Prime India OTT from May 9th onwards.

For those of you that missed it in theatres, you can now watch it from the comfort of your homes! For those that don't know much about the film, here are a couple details to get you interested.

Aavesham was directed by Jithu Madhavan, an up and coming Malayalam film director who has already made another popular Malayalam film by the name of Romancham, which netted around 70 crore worldwide, according to data from Sacnik.

Aavesham also stars Fahadh Faasil in one of the lead roles. According to an article at Onmanorama, he is one of the highest paid actors from the south, with a great filmography that involves films like Maheshinte Prathikaaram, Thondimuthalum Drikshakshiyum and Kumbalangi Nights. He has also been nominated for and won several awards over the course of his career.

The film, Aavesham, itself has the following synopsis:

Three engineering students end up staying in a hotel instead of their college hostel due to more freedom. They eventually meet one of their seniors, which leads to a fight where the three are thrashed by the gang of seniors. Humiliated, they roam around, trying to find a gangster to get revenge for them and teach the senior a lesson.

The rest of the film revolves around shenanigans between the three students, and a prominent, eccentric gang leader who is more charismatic than aggressive.
