Aamir Khan Confirms Relationship With Bengaluru-Based Gauri Spratt, A Longtime Friend Of 25 Years
On Thursday, actor Aamir Khan confirmed that he is in a relationship with his friend, Gauri Spratt. He shared the news during his 60th birthday celebrations with the media in Mumbai.
The Bollywood star revealed that they have been dating for a year, though he has known her for over 25 years.
Spratt, who resides in Bengaluru, is currently working under his production banner.
Khan further disclosed that they are living together and that Spratt, who is the mother of a six-year-old son, has already met his family. He added that his loved ones are supportive of their relationship.
Expressing his happiness and commitment, Khan mentioned that Gauri Spratt has only seen a few of his films, including 'Lagaan' and 'Dangal'.
The actor recalled that his partner once told him she does not subscribe to the 'superstar' image often associated with him. He added that Spratt is still adjusting to the 'Bollywood madness'.
On Wednesday, Khan hosted a birthday dinner at his home, where he invited fellow actors Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. He revealed that Gauri Spratt met both stars at the gathering.
Spratt is of mixed heritage, with a Tamilian mother and an Irish father. Her grandfather was a freedom fighter.
Khan was previously married to filmmaker Kiran Rao, with whom he announced his divorce in July 2021. They share a son, Azad Rao Khan.
Prior to that, he was married to Reena Dutta, with whom he has two children - daughter Ira Khan and son Junaid Khan.
