BJP manifesto for TN polls on March 31
Coimbatore, Mar 15: The manifesto of BJP for the May 16 Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu would be released on March 31, party National Secretary H Raja said today.
Policy about the prohibition will find a prominent place in the manifesto, Raja, who is heading the manifesto committee, told reporters here.
Some of the other features would be the plans to extract ethanol from sugarcane and upgrading standard of education in state board schools to that of CBSE level, he said.
On the alleged honour killing of a Dalit youth at Udumalpet, Raja said about 70 per cent of the assailants evaded punishment due to some loopholes while registering cases against them.

Stating that there was no role for the Centre in such cases, he said the state government can directly approach CBI for a fair probe in such crimes.
