The State Bank of India (SBI) has officially announced a massive recruitment drive to fill 2,273 vacancies for the post of Circle Based Officer (CBO) in the Junior Management Grade Scale-I (JMGS-I) cadre. This is a strategic hiring initiative to strengthen SBI's presence across various circles with officers proficient in local languages.

3. Eligibility Criteria
A. Educational Qualification (As of the application deadline)
Mandatory: Graduation in any discipline from a University recognized by the Government of India or the UGC.

Equivalent Qualification: Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) or any qualification recognized as equivalent to graduation by the Central Government.

Professional Courses: Candidates holding professional degrees such as Medical (MBBS), Engineering (B.E./B.Tech), Chartered Accountant (CA), or Cost Accountant (CMA) are also eligible.

B. Professional Experience
Minimum: Two (2) years of experience as an Officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank (RRB) listed under the Second Schedule of the RBI Act.

Relevant Experience Period: Experience is calculated as of 31 December 2025.

Salary Clause (For Private/Foreign Bank Officers): Candidates from Scheduled Commercial Banks other than Public Sector Banks/RRBs must have drawn a minimum annual gross salary of ₹9.50 Lakhs for each year of service.

Documentation Required: Form-16, Annual Income Statement (AIS), salary slips for the last 24 months, or a certificate from the employer.

C. Local Language Proficiency
Applicants must be proficient (reading, writing, and understanding) in the specified local language of the Circle they are applying for.

Proficiency will be tested during the selection process.

4. Salary & Perks
Selected candidates will be appointed in the JMGS-I pay scale.
