RRB NTPC UG Exam 2026: Revised CBT 1 Timetable Released For Remaining Candidates

The Railway Recruitment Board has changed the timetable for the Non-Technical Popular Categories CBT 1. The revised schedule covers the remaining Under Graduate level RRB NTPC CBT 1 exams. Candidates preparing for this railway recruitment test can now plan using the new dates and official instructions shared on the RRB regional websites.

According to the updated plan, CBT 1 will now be held on June 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20. The earlier RRB NTPC CBT 1 shifts conducted on May 7, 8 and 9 are already over. The changes apply only to the remaining candidates whose exams are still pending.

RRB NTPC CBT 1 exam: Schedule

The RRB notice states that the direct link for viewing the exam city will be activated 10 days before each exam date. On the same link, SC/ST candidates can download the Travel Authority for free train travel, as per eligibility. This facility will be available through the official websites of all RRBs across regions.

As mentioned in the notification, call letters or admit cards can be downloaded four days before the actual exam date. Registered candidates must log in to the RRB portal of their respective region to access the RRB NTPC CBT 1 city intimation slip and hall ticket. Candidates are advised to read the complete schedule and instructions carefully.

RRB NTPC CBT 1 exam pattern

For CBT 1, the RRB NTPC exam pattern prescribes a single paper of 100 objective questions. The duration of the test is 90 minutes for most candidates. The paper carries 40 questions from General Awareness, 30 questions from Mathematics, and 30 questions from General Intelligence and Reasoning, matching the notified educational level.

The first stage computer-based test works mainly as a screening exam for this recruitment. RRB has clarified that the standard of questions will be related to the qualification required for the advertised posts. The normalised score from CBT 1 will be used to shortlist candidates for the RRB NTPC CBT stage 2, which is the next level.

This RRB NTPC recruitment aims to fill a total of 3,058 vacancies in different clerical categories. The posts include Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Junior Clerk cum Typist and Trains Clerk.
