IBPS 2026–27 Recruitment Exam Schedule Announced, Check Steps to Apply Online

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection has announced the tentative examination calendar for the Common Recruitment Process covering Public Sector Banks and Regional Rural Banks for the 2026-27 recruitment cycle.

According to IBPS, the online examinations will begin in August 2026 and conclude in January 2027. The registration process for eligible candidates will open shortly through the official IBPS portal.

Public Sector Banks Exam Schedule

For recruitment to Public Sector Banks, IBPS will conduct examinations for Probationary Officers or Management Trainees, Specialist Officers and Customer Service Associates. The preliminary examination for PO or MT posts will be held on August 22 and 23, 2026, followed by the main examination on October 4, 2026. Specialist Officers will appear for their preliminary exam on August 29, 2026, while the main exam is scheduled for November 1, 2026.

Customer Service Associates will take the preliminary examination on October 10 and 11, 2026. The main examination for this post is slated for December 27, 2026.

Regional Rural Banks Examination Timeline

IBPS has also released the schedule for Regional Rural Banks recruitment under CRP RRBs XV. Officer Scale I candidates will appear for the preliminary examination on November 21 and 22, 2026, followed by the main examination on December 20, 2026. For Officer Scale II and III posts, a single examination will be conducted on December 20, 2026.

Office Assistants will take their preliminary examination on December 6, 12 and 13, 2026, while the main examination will be conducted on January 30, 2027.

Application Process and Document Upload Guidelines

The registration process will be conducted exclusively through online mode. IBPS will follow a single registration system for both preliminary and main examinations wherever applicable. Candidates will also be required to capture and upload their "live photograph" at the time of application using either a webcam or a mobile phone.

Applicants must upload a recent passport-size colour photograph, a clearly visible signature that is not in capital letters, a thumb impression, and a handwritten declaration in the prescribed format. All documents must meet the specified size and format requirements to avoid rejection of the application.
