GATE 2026 Admit Card Soon Live on gate2026.iitg.ac.in: Check How to Download

GATE 2026 candidates are eagerly waiting for IIT Guwahati to release the admit cards for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). The hall tickets are expected to be available around January 2, 2026, on the official website gate2026.iitg.ac.in through the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS). However, it has been postponed and the revised release date will be announced soon

The exam is being conducted for the 2026-27 academic year postgraduate intake in Engineering and Architecture. It will be a computer-based test carrying 100 marks with a duration of 180 minutes. GATE 2026 will be held on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026, with two shifts each day. The morning shift is scheduled from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, while the afternoon shift will run from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Candidates must check the exact date and shift of their paper on the admit card once it is released.

Steps to Download GATE 2026 Admit Card

To download the GATE 2026 admit card, candidates need to log in to the GOAPS portal on the official website using their Enrollment ID and password.

• Visit gate2026.iitg.ac.in and open the GOAPS portal.
• Log in using your Enrollment ID and password.
• Navigate to the GATE 2026 admit card section on the dashboard.
• Click the download button and save the admit card.
• Verify all details on the admit card and print multiple copies for safety.

Candidates must carry the printed admit card along with a recent photograph for identity verification. Without these, entry to the exam hall will not be allowed. With the schedule fixed for early and mid-February, candidates can now plan their preparation and travel in anticipation of the official admit card release by IIT Guwahati.
