Exam Dates Changed Again? Mumbai University Winter Exam 2025 Revised Schedule Out

Mumbai University has once again revised the Winter Examination 2025 schedule, marking the second rescheduling in recent weeks.

The latest change comes in view of the Maharashtra Zilla Parishad elections, after the examinations were earlier postponed due to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation elections. The revised timetable was issued on Tuesday evening, leaving students and colleges to adjust their plans yet again.

Second Revision Due to Election Schedule

In an official circular dated January 20, the university explained the reason behind the fresh change. It said, "The Heads of University Departments, Director, Thane and Kalyan Sub Centres, the Director (CDOE), and the Principals of all affiliated colleges across all faculties are hereby informed that the Winter 2025 examinations, which were postponed due to Municipal Corporation elections, have been further revised due to the Zilla Parishad elections."

The university confirmed that examinations initially planned for mid-January and later shifted to early February have now been deferred further to later dates in February.

Mumbai University has clearly outlined how the dates have moved across two rounds of rescheduling. The revised schedule is as follows:

Additionally, examinations that were scheduled for 7 February 2026 have now been postponed to 21 February 2026 due to the Zilla Parishad elections.

Exam Timings to Remain Unchanged

While the dates have been revised multiple times, Mumbai University clarified that there will be no change in examination timings. Students are advised to follow the originally notified time slots for their respective papers.

Colleges Asked to Inform Students

The university has directed heads of departments, principals of affiliated colleges, and concerned authorities to communicate the revised examination dates to students and staff at the earliest. Students are also advised to keep checking official university notifications to avoid confusion amid the repeated changes.
