'New home' 20 light-years away?!?!

Think about celebrating our birthday every 13 days! Gifts, parties, cakes every 13 days..... But, the glitch is that we will get older sooner but who's complaining if the whole world is also getting older, right! Have to just watch out on that cake intake...... we will be weighing more than usual!

Thanks to the earth-like planet called as 'Super-Earth' discovered by European Astronomers outside solar system. This new planet has got the same climate as Earth, plus water and gravity. This planet lies in a perfect 'Goldilocks Zone', where it is not so cold that water freezes and not so hot that it boils, but where it can lie on the planet's surface as a liquid. So, that solves our problem of 'water'.

The 'sun' like star that this planet orbits is not bright enough! It would just hang close, large and red in the sky. So, no worrying about our complexion, sun-stroke or protecting ourselves from ultra-violet rays. Oh ho! that's sad for the Revlons', Lakmes'...

The actual icing on the cake is that you can also choose to stay on the dark side or the sunny side of the planet! Its likely, that the planet doesn't rotate, so one side would always be sunlit and the other dark. Mind you, the sun would never set if you choose to live on the sunny side. No moon-lit drive, dinner or romance.... And asthma patients would live longer in the sunny side.....

The above will prove true only if there is no extra-terrestrial life or in our language 'aliens' inhabiting that planet!

So, lets discover the other side of the picture.... If aliens are friendly, no problem but if they turn out to be un-welcoming then....

Anyhow, the search will continue for another earth-like planet! You may be asking me, why am I so bent upon discovering another Earth, right?

Isn't it obvious that we have made this Earth so inhospitable for our next generation that we are forced to look at other planets.... Now, that we have found another planet just like Earth so, no worries, right???? We can continue our destroying-spree of our planet... In another 15 years when the life span of this planet ends, we have a brand 'new home' 20 light-years away!
