Tamil Nadu shocker! Woman strangulates minor daughter to continue her extra-marital affair

Coimbatore, June 5: In a shocking incident, a woman has been arrested for killing her minor daughter to continue her relationship with a youth here.

Woman identified as Divya, a resident of Selvapuram area in the city strangled her three-year-old daughter to death daughter as she found her an obstacle to continue her relationship with the youth whom she met while working as a saleswoman.

Her parents warned her against continuing with it, citing the child's future.

She strangled her to death on Friday night and put the body in the bed. The motionless body of the child was noticed by the culprit's brother who took her to a nearby hospital where she was declared brought dead.

Based on a complaint from the brother, Divya was arrested. She later confessed to the crime, police said.
