Youth drowned while immersing Lord Ganesh idol in Tamil Nadu
Namakkal (TN), Sept 13: A 25-year old man drowned while immersing a Vinayaka idol in river Cauvery at Molasi in the district, police said on Friday.
Coracle operators recovered the body.
A group of 10 persons, who had put up the five-feet idol in their locality in connection with the Vinayaka Chathurthi festival, were immersing it in the river last evening when Sathi slipped and fell into deep water.
