Wonderla Chennai Set For Grand Opening On Dec 2: Know Ticket Price & Other Deets

Chennai is preparing for the much-awaited launch of Wonderla, one of India's most celebrated amusement park chains. The ₹600-crore project, located in the Chengalpattu district, is poised to become Tamil Nadu's largest entertainment destination and a landmark attraction in South India.

The park will officially open its doors on December 2, 2025, offering visitors a mix of thrill rides, family attractions, and unique experiences.

Ticketing and Special Offers

For the inaugural day, tickets are priced at ₹1,536.20 for adults (inclusive of taxes), ₹1,191 for children between 85 cm and 140 cm in height (free entry for kids below 85 cm), and ₹1,163.95 for senior citizens. Wonderla has also rolled out a Black Friday Sale, with regular tickets priced at ₹899.15 and Fastrack tickets at ₹1,599.15.

Bookings for the "First Day First Ride" are open until November 19 through the official Wonderla website. Limited seats are available for the launch day.

Wonderla Chennai is strategically located in the Chengalpattu entertainment corridor, with easy access from Chennai city, OMR/IT Corridor, ECR, and GST Road. The park adds to Wonderla's growing footprint after Kochi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Bhubaneswar.

Attractions to Watch Out For

The highlight of the park is India's largest roller coaster, designed by Swiss manufacturer Bolliger & Mabillard at a cost of ₹80 crore. Inspired by iconic rides in London and New York, the coaster features massive loops, complex track engineering, and unmatched speed, promising to be a landmark for thrill-seekers across Asia.

Other major attractions include:

- India's first B&M Inverted Coaster (Tanjora Ride): Riders are suspended below the track for a true flight sensation, complete with loops, wing overs, and zero-G rolls.
- Monorail Ride: A futuristic elevated transport system offering aerial views of the park.
- 45-metre Ferris Wheel: Elevated on a platform, it provides panoramic views of OMR's skyline, greenery, and coastline.
- Freestyler: A 17-metre tall surfing simulation ride with rapid swings and spins.
- Spin Mill: One of India's tallest spin rides at 50 metres, delivering up to 4.5 G-forces with multi-axis spins and vertical loops.
In total, Wonderla Chennai will feature 19 land rides, 15 water rides, and 7 kids' rides, catering to visitors of all ages.
