Chennai and Bengaluru will continue to get relief as light to moderate rains are predicted for today (October 30).

There is a chance of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning in certain areas on Monday, the RMC said in a statement.

"Sky condition is likely to be partly cloudy. Light/moderate rain with thunderstorms and lightning is likely to occur in some areas. Maximum temperature is likely to be around 33-34°C and minimum temperature is likely to be around 25-26°C," it said in a statement.

A weather blogger named Raja Ramaswamy has said, "Showers are possible in the #Chennai region tonight."

Outside Chennai

The weather tracker has predicted light to moderate rain in many places with thunderstorms and lightning at one or two places likely to occur over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal area. "Heavy rain is likely to occur at one or two places over Sivaganga, Theni, Dindigul, Tenkasi, Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Tirunelveli, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Thoothukudi, Kanyakumari, Ramanathapuram and Tiruppur districts of Tamilnadu," the statement added.

Bengaluru Weather

As per the IMD, there is a possibility of light rainfall. Mist is highly probable during the early morning hours in specific areas. "Generally cloudy sky. Light rain likely. Mist very likely during early morning hours in some areas. Maximum & Minimum temperatures are very likely to be around 28 and 21 Degree Celsius respectively," the statement stated.

The weather-monitoring agency has forecast light to moderate rain very likely to occur at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. Also light rain is very likely at isolated places over North Interior Karnataka.

Chikkamagaluru, Bengaluru Rural, Hassan, Mandya, Kolar, Ramanagar, Tumakkuru, Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Kodagu, and Uttara Kannada are predicted to get heavy rains.
