Vijay To Launch Ambedkar Book LIVE: Where To Watch TVK Chief's Speech Online?

Tamil cinema star and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) president Vijay, fresh off the success of his debut political rally, is set to release a book honoring Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. Titled Ellarukumana Thalaivar Ambedkar (Ambedkar: Leader for All), the book will be unveiled on Friday in the presence of distinguished guests, including retired Madras High Court Justice K. Chandru and Ambedkar's grandson, social activist Anand Teltumbde.

The event marks another step in Vijay's efforts to establish TVK as a socially conscious political movement. Sources from the party suggest that Vijay's speech will explore the teachings of Ambedkar and their relevance today, while also touching on broader political themes, including corruption and social justice.

Vijay's choice to spotlight Ambedkar alongside icons like K. Kamaraj, E.V. Periyar, and freedom fighters Anjalai Ammal and Velu Nachiyar reflects his vision for TVK as a party rooted in equality and inclusive politics. However, the party distinguishes itself by selectively embracing Periyar's ideology, notably rejecting his atheistic stance in favor of the "One Race, One God" principle articulated by former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C.N. Annadurai.

The book, a collaborative effort between VCK deputy general secretary Aadhav Arjuna and Tamil media powerhouse Vikatan, seeks to underscore Ambedkar's unifying vision. Initially slated for release by VCK president Thol. Thirumavalavan, the event now sees Vijay taking the lead, signalling his deep alignment with Ambedkar's principles.
