Vegetable Price In Chennai Today (August 1): What's Cheaper, What's Costlier

In the past 10 days, the Koyambedu Wholesale Market in Chennai has experienced notable fluctuations in vegetable prices.

One significant change is the price of Ooty carrots, which have been volatile since early July. The price dropped by Rs 10 today, with carrots selling at Rs 120 per kg, down from Rs 130 per kg yesterday.

Also, the price of lemons increased by Rs 10 per kg, now available at Rs 130, up from yesterday's rate of Rs 120 per kg.

Beans also saw a price drop, with a decrease of Rs 10 per kg, now selling for Rs 60 per kg.

As for other vegetables, the first quality of onions is priced at Rs 38 per kg, while the second quality is sold at Rs 35 per kg. First quality tomatoes are priced at Rs 25 per kg, with the second quality available at Rs 23 per kg. Potatoes are sold at Rs 50 per kg for the first quality and Rs 35 per kg for the second quality.
