TVK Maanadu Date & Time & Schedule: Thalapathy Vijay Set To Deliver Powerful Speech In Madurai

Madurai is buzzing with anticipation as Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) prepares to host its second state conference tomorrow at Parapathi in Kariyapatti taluk. The grand event is set to be held on a sprawling 500-acre ground along the Madurai-Thoothukudi national highway, with preparations being carried out at full throttle.

The conference will officially begin at 3.30 pm on August 21 and conclude by 7.30 pm. To set the tone, the event will open with traditional cultural performances including Karakattam, Oilattam, and Silambattam by folk artists from Thanjavur and Madurai.

A massive stage and ramp have been erected for TVK president Vijay, who will address party workers and the public around 4 pm. He is expected to deliver a powerful speech, targeted at his political opponents and energise his cadre ahead of the 2026 state elections.

Arrangements have also been made for him to walk among the volunteers. A special flag-hoisting ceremony by Vijay will mark the official start of the conference, with banners, party flags, and decorations already lining the venue.

1.5 Lakh Fans Expected

To accommodate the expected crowd, nearly 1.5 lakh seats have been arranged, and six parking facilities have been set up exclusively for administrators and party officials. Organisers estimate that lakhs of volunteers, executives, and the general public will converge for the event, likely leading to heavy traffic congestion in and around Parapathi.

As a precaution, private schools and colleges in Kariyapatti and Aviyur areas will remain closed tomorrow to avoid inconvenience to students and the public.

Meanwhile, Vijay has already arrived in Madurai to personally oversee final preparations. He also held a meeting with party executives to review arrangements and urged members to maintain "military-like discipline" during the event.

In a letter to cadres earlier, Vijay described the upcoming 2026 Assembly elections as historic, drawing parallels with the watershed elections of 1967 and 1977. He said the Madurai conference would reflect TVK's vision of "Conscience Democracy" and its political direction. He also advised senior citizens, pregnant women, children, and differently-abled supporters to watch the event from home for safety.

Closing on an optimistic note, Vijay told party workers: "We will meet in Madurai with open hearts. We will win through strategy. Victory is certain."

With such massive preparations and expectations, all eyes are now on Madurai tomorrow evening as TVK looks to make a defining political statement.
