TN Results: Not Happy With Your Class 12 Scores? Here's How You Can Apply For Re-Evaluation Online

Tamil Nadu reported an overall pass rate of 94.56% in the Class XII board examinations for the year 2024. The results were announced on Monday.

The results, announced at the Directorate of Public Instruction (DPI) campus, revealed that out of the 7,60,606 students who took the exams in March, 7,19,196 passed. Among them, girls outnumbered boys with a pass rate of 96.44% (393,890 candidates), while boys had a pass rate of 92.37% (325,305 cleared the exams), and one candidate from the third gender category also passed.

A total of 2,478 schools (out of 7,532) achieved a perfect 100% pass rate, with all candidates clearing their papers. Among them, 397 were government schools.

Also, 2,587 students scored centum in Mathematics, 633 in Physics, and 471 in Chemistry.

In order to pass the exam, students needed to score at least 35 marks in each subject out of a total of 100.

Erode district topped the rankings with a pass rate of 94.56%, while Chennai recorded approximately 94 per cent.

  • Visit the official website of the Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examinations (https://www.tnresults.nic.in/) to access the re-evaluation application form and review the deadline.
  • Request a photocopy of your answer sheet by submitting an online request on the website and paying the prescribed fee.
  • Thoroughly examine your answer sheet and identify the questions you believe warrant reconsideration for higher marks.
  • Complete the re-evaluation application form accurately, ensuring all necessary details, such as your roll number, subject(s), and specific question(s) for re-evaluation, are provided.
  • Include a photocopy of your answer sheet along with any additional documents required as specified on the website.
  • Submit the re-evaluation application form online or via post (if permitted) before the specified deadline.
  • Await the completion of the re-evaluation process, after which any revised marks will be reflected on your mark sheet.
