Jayalalithaa will be laid to rest near her mentor, MGR's Samadhi at Marina Beach

Chennai, Dec 6: Hundreds of mourners gathered at Rajaji Hall to pay their last respects to their beloved 'Amma', who passed away on late Monday night.

Jayalalithaa will be laid to rest near her mentor and former chief minister MGR's Samadhi at Marina Beach. Preparations are on in full swing for the final rites.

Jayalalithaa's body is currently kept at Rajaji Hall for public viewing. The body will later be taken to Marina Beach, where the final rites will be performed. The funeral will be held at 4.30 PM on Tuesday.

Jayalalithaa's mortal remains were kept for public viewing at the Rajaji Hall. Several ministers and celebrities including Rajnikanth, Prabhudeva and others paid their respects.

Jayalalithaa will be accorded a state funeral. Meawhile, the Centre declared a one-day mourning in accordance of Jayalalithaa's death.
