Tamil Nadu Weather: Will It Rain In Chennai, Other Districts Today & Tomorrow?

Regional Meteorological Centre in Chennai has said that there is a possibility of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal area at one or two locations in the next two days.

"Light to moderate rain with thunderstorms and lightning is likely to occur at one or two places over Tamilnadu, Puducherry and Karaikal area. Mist/Haze is likely to prevail at isolated pockets over Interior Tamil Nadu during early morning hours," the weather-monitoring agency said in a statement.

As far as Chennai weather is concerned, the IMD said, "Sky condition is likely to be partly cloudy. Light rain is likely to occur in some areas. Maximum temperature is likely to be around 31°C and Minimum temperature is likely to be around 23°C."

Meanwhile, the IMD has predicted that Delhi is likely to receive moderate-intensity rain with thundershowers over and adjoining areas of Delhi-NCR. The areas include - Narela, Alipur, Vivek Vihar, Jafarpur, Nazafgarh, Palam, Safdarjung, Lodhi Road, Mahrauli, Loni Dehat, Hindon AF Station, Bahadurgarh, Ghaziabad, Indirapuram, Chhapraula, Noida, Dadri, and Greater Noida today.

The heavy rain that started on Wednesday morning resulted in multiple road closures and flooding in certain parts of the capital city, causing inconvenience for the residents. Also, numerous trains and flights have experienced delays due to the unfavourable weather conditions.
