Tamil Nadu Weather Update: Heavy Rains To Lash Chennai, Suburbs For Next 3 Days
Chennai and suburbs are predicted to get heavy rains in the coming days, as per the Regional Meterological Centre.
The weather agency has given a yellow alert indicating heavy rains for Chengalpattu, Viluppuram and Cuddalore districts for today.

For Thursday, heavy rains are predicted to lash over 11 districts including Chennai, Kancheepuram, Chengalpattu, Viluppuram, Cuddalore, Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Pudukkottai and Ramanathapuram districts.
The RMC said that Chennai, Kancheepuram, Chengalpattu, Viluppuram, Cuddalore, Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Pudukkottai and Ramanathapuram districts of Tamilnadu, Puducherry and Karaikal area will get heavy rains on Friday.
On Saturday's weather, the RMC, in its daily bulletin, said, "Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places over Chengalpattu, Villupuram, Cuddalore, Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Pudukkottai, Sivaganga, Ramanathapuram, Thoothukudi, Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari, Virudhunagar and Tenkasi districts of Tamilnadu, Puducherry, Karaikal area, Kerala, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema."
Also, Cuddalore, Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Pudukkottai and Ramanathapuram districts will get heavy downpour on Sunday.
A yellow alert is issued when rainfall is expected to range between 64.5 mm and 115.5 mm, indicating worsening weather conditions.
The weather agency said that Karur Paramathi recorded the highest maximum temperature of 34.5°C on Tuesday, Erode recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 18.0°C.
