Tamil Nadu Weather Update: Chennai & Few Others Places To Get Rains
Chennai and a few places in Tamil Nadu will get rains in the next two few days, as per the Regional Meteorological Centre.
In the forecast for the next seven days, the RMC said, "Light to moderate rain with thunderstorm and lightning is likely to occur at one or two places over Tamilnadu, Puducherry and Karaikal area."

As far as the Chennai weather is concerned, the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) reports that sky conditions are expected to be generally cloudy. Light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, is likely to occur in some areas. The maximum temperature is forecasted to be around 35-36°C, while the minimum temperature is expected to be 26-27°C.
During the 24-hour period ending at 08:30 IST on June 12, 2024, maximum temperatures were generally near or above normal at a few locations across Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal. The highest maximum temperature recorded was 38.6°C in Thoothukudi.
In the plains of North Interior Tamil Nadu, temperatures ranged from 33-37°C, while in the plains of South Interior Tamil Nadu, temperatures were between 37-38°C. North Coastal Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal experienced temperatures of 35-37°C. South Coastal Tamil Nadu saw temperatures between 32-39°C, and the hilly areas had temperatures ranging from 18°C to 25°C.
Chennai recorded normal maximum temperatures, with Meenambakkam (MBK) at 36.6°C, which is 0.7°C below normal, and Nungambakkam (NBK) at 36.5°C, which is 0.5°C below normal.
