Tamil Nadu Weather Report: Heavy Rains Predicted For Next 5 Days – Check Affected Districts
October has started on a promising note for Tamil Nadu, with the Regional Meteorological Centre forecasting heavy rains over the next five days.
A yellow alert has been issued for four districts for today. The Ghat areas of Coimbatore, Nilgiris, Tiruppur, and Erode, all set to receive heavy rains.

On Wednesday, seven districts, including the Ghat areas of Coimbatore, Nilgiris, Erode, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Salem, and Tirupattur, are expected to get heavy showers.
By Thursday, 18 districts, such as Ramanathapuram, Sivagangai, Pudukottai, Thanjavur, Thiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Mayiladuthurai, Cuddalore, Theni, Dindigul, Kallakurichi, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Tirupattur, Vellore, Ranipet, Tiruvannamalai, Tiruchirapalli districts will get heavy rains.
On Friday, 16 districts such as isolated places over Pudukottai, Thanjavur, Thiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Mayiladuthurai, Cuddalore, Villupuram, Chengalpattu,
Kancheepuram, Ranipet, Ariyalur, Perambalur, Kallakurichi, Vellore, Tiruvannamalai, Tirupattur districts of Tamilnadu and Puducherry & Karaikal area.
On Saturday, 16 districts such as Pudukottai, Thanjavur, Thiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Mayiladuthurai, Cuddalore, Villupuram, Chengalpattu, Kancheepuram, Ranipet, Vellore, Tiruvannamalai, Kallakurichi, Ariyalur, Perambalur, Tiruchirapalli districts will get heavy rains.
The weather agency further mentioned that Chennai's sky is expected to remain partly cloudy for the next two days, with thunderstorms, lightning, and light rain likely in some areas. The maximum temperature is expected to range between 34-35°C, while the minimum temperature will hover around 27°C.In terms of temperatures, Erode recorded the highest on Monday at 36.2°C, while Kodaikanal saw the lowest at 17.9°C. Devakottai in Sivagangai district received the most rainfall for the day, with 5 cm.
Weather expert R Pradeep John, known as Tamil Nadu Weatherman, predicts substantial rainfall in the KTCC region (Kanchipuram, Thiruvallur, Chengalpattu, and Chennai) this month, offering much-needed relief after a stretch of hot weather.
