Tamil Nadu Weather Alert: Chennai, Chengalpattu To Enjoy 'Ooty-Like-Climate' With Drizzles, Light Rains
The KTCC (Kanchipuram, Thiruvallur, Chengalpattu, Chennai), Vellore, Tirupattur, Tiruvannamalai, Tirupattur, Cuddalore and Pondicherry are expected to have 'Ooty-like-climate' in the coming days, a weather interpreter, known as 'Tamil Nadu Weatherman', predicted.
According to his latest post, entire North Tajil Nadu will have drizzles with light rains.

In his Facebook post, he wrote, "KTCC, Vellore, Tirupattur, Tvmalai, Tirupattur, Cuddalore, Pondy, in short entire North Tamil Nadu will be having ooty like climate with drizzles / light rains. Monsoon will be active other side, with very heavy rains expected in Cauvery Catchment in Kodagu, Kerala.
In Tamil Nadu - Pandalur, Devala, Avalanche belt in Nilgiris districts and Valparai in Coimbatore districts will get heavy rains. Kanyakumari and Periyar-thekkadi belt in theni dt and manjolai in Nellai dt will get moderate rains."
The weather interpreter mentioned that there were anticipated severe spells expected in Kodagu for the Cauvery catchment. They advised that the entire west coast from Mumbai to Kerala should remain vigilant due to expected extreme rains over the next week. It was also forecasted that all dams in Karnataka within the Cauvery catchment would reach full capacity within the next 10 days, and Mettur could expect significant inflows.

According to the Regional Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain is expected at a few places in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal over the next two days, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning at one or two locations. Heavy rain is also predicted at isolated places in the Nilgiris district and the Ghat areas of Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Theni, and Dindigul districts.
In Chennai, the sky is expected to be generally cloudy with a likelihood of light to moderate rain, thunderstorms, and lightning in some areas. The maximum temperature is expected to range between 31-32°C, while the minimum temperature is likely to be 26-27°C.
Chinnakalar and parts of Valparai in Coimbatore district received 13 cms and 9 cms of rains on Sunday. Sholayar in the same district got 8 cms of rain.
