Tamil Nadu shocker: Fight over classroom seat turns fatal, student killed

Chennai, March 15: In a shocking incident, a 13-year-old student lost his life over a petty incident over a classroom seat. The incident happened on Monday, March 15 inside a government school at Ammaiagara near Chinna Salem in Villupuram district of Tamil Nadu.

The students who were embroiled into scuffle were Class 7th students.

During the fight, one of the student, Balamurugan, fell over a wooden bench and sustained severe injuries, TOI reported.

The boy succumbed to the injuries, when he was being taken to a nearby hospital.

Both the students (victim and accused) belonged to Poondi village. The minor accused was produced before a juvenile court and then he was sent to an observation home.
