Tamil Nadu Police Arrest Stunt Master For Derogatory Remarks Against Christianity

On July 1, the Cyber Crime Wing police filed a case against him for reportedly posting offensive comments about Christianity on Twitter. Austin Bennet, the deputy organizer of DMK IT wing from Thittuvilai, lodged a complaint stating that Kannan had shared a "manipulated video" on Twitter, featuring a preacher dancing with a girl, along with a derogatory caption.

The complainant said that the stunt master shared the said post with an intention of degrading Christianity while trigerring hatred between religions.

A case was lodged by the Cyber Crime Wing police which had asked the stunt master appear before the agency for inquiry. He had turned up before the authority on Monday with his advocates.

He tried to leave the office citing that he wanted to go out for lunch as he has diabates. However, the police denied permission saying he cannot leave the inquiry and food will be served there itself.

His advocates argued with the cops but it did not make much of a difference. He was then arrested around 7 pm.
