Tamil Nadu: Married Woman Arrested For Kidnapping Class 10 Student Under Pretext Of Romantic Relationship
In a shocking incident in Thiruvallur district, Tamil Nadu, a 28-year-old married woman, Vinodhini, has been arrested for the kidnapping and sexual exploitation of a 17-year-old boy. Vinodhini, who is a mother of two and resides in the same village as the boy, reportedly developed a romantic relationship with him. This situation escalated to the point where she kidnapped him, leading to police intervention and her subsequent arrest.
The relationship between Vinodhini and the boy, a 10th grader, began when she acquired his phone number and initiated daily conversations. Over time, their interactions grew more personal, eventually turning intimate, especially when Vinodhini's husband was not at home. The boy's family, unaware of these developments, was plunged into worry when he failed to return from school one day.

The boy's disappearance prompted his parents to report him missing to the police, who launched an investigation that uncovered the illicit relationship. It was revealed that Vinodhini had taken the boy to a relative's house she had rented, where she sexually exploited him. The police managed to trace and rescue the boy, arresting Vinodhini and charging her under the POCSO Act.
This case has sent shockwaves through the community, highlighting an increasing trend of crimes against men and boys. It echoes a similar incident in Tamil Nadu from 2024, where a woman named Satya Priya was arrested for exploiting her son's classmate. These cases draw attention to the often-overlooked issue of male victims in sexual crimes, sparking widespread concern among parents and authorities alike.
In an unrelated event that underscores the cunning nature of some individuals, a woman in Bengaluru was apprehended for displaying a stolen gold item in her WhatsApp display picture. Such incidents serve as a reminder of the various ways in which crimes can manifest and the importance of vigilance in protecting oneself and one's community.
This series of disturbing events has prompted a call to action among law enforcement and community members to ensure the safety and well-being of all individuals, regardless of gender. As the details of these cases unfold, they serve as a stark reminder of the complexities and challenges in addressing and preventing sexual crimes.
