TN Govt To Give ₹25,000 For UPSC Prelims Qualifiers: How To Apply For Naan Mudhalvan Scheme?
The Tamil Nadu government has announced a financial incentive of ₹25,000 for candidates who clear the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination. This benefit is exclusively available to residents of Tamil Nadu, who must submit a valid Nativity Certificate to receive the assistance.
The announcement was made through an official government statement on Friday. As per the release, the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation (TNSDC), in collaboration with the All India Civil Services Coaching Centre (AICSCC), is extending comprehensive support to aspirants preparing for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exams.

Under this initiative, launched in 2023 with a financial outlay of ₹10 crore, 1,000 civil service aspirants are selected each year through an assessment test. These selected candidates receive a monthly stipend of ₹7,500 for ten months to prepare for the preliminary exam. Those who successfully clear the prelims are eligible for an additional incentive of ₹25,000 to aid their Mains preparation.
The funds will be disbursed directly to the candidates' bank accounts via the Naan Mudhalvan Competitive Examination Unit operating under the TNSDC.
Application Details:
Starting 21st June 2025, candidates who have cleared the 2025 UPSC Preliminary Examination can apply for the incentive. The last date to submit applications is 2nd July 2025.

Bank account details
Recent photograph and signature
Submit the form online.
