Tamil Nadu CM Stalin Turns 72: PM Modi, Well-Wishers Extend Greetings
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday sent his birthday wishes to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on his 72nd birthday.

In a post on X, PM Modi said, "Birthday greetings to Tamil Nadu CM Thiru MK Stalin. May he lead a long and healthy life.
Stalin marked his 72nd birthday by paying floral tributes to DMK founder and former CM CN Annadurai at the Anna Memorial at Marina Beach. The Chief Minister distributed chocolates to school children at Chennai's Muthamizharignar Dr. Kalaignar M. Karunanidhi Memorial, the Department of Information and Public Relations said.
Kamal Haasan Wishes
Many of his alliance partners and well-wishers have sent their wishes to Stalin. Notably, actor and Makkal Needhi Maiam President met Stalin and wished him good health. In a post, he wrote, "I met my dear friend, the Honorable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, the President of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, and my dear friend Mr. M.K. Stalin in person today, wishing him good health, a long life, and a long service to the people."
Praising the DMK's stand on the Hindi imposition, Haasan wrote, "At a time when the people of Tamil Nadu, the Tamil language, and Tamil culture are facing various pressures, Mr. Stalin, like his predecessors, has emerged as a bulwark to protect Tamil Nadu. I congratulate him with joy. Long live the people!"
Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi wished, "Wishing a very happy birthday to my brother and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Thiru @mkstalin. We continue to stand together in our commitment to preserve India's rich diversity, federal structure, and Constitutional values. May you have good health and continued success in serving the people of Tamil Nadu."
On the political front, he has taken a firm stand on the New Education Policy (NEP) of 2020 expressing concern over the "three-language formula" and targeted the Centre over the Hindi imposition.
In a video message, Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin said, "Today, Tamil Nadu is confronting two critical challenges - the battle for language, which is our lifeline, and the fight against delimitation, which is our right. I earnestly urge you to convey the true essence of our battle to the people. Constituency delimitation directly impacts our state's self-respect, social justice, and welfare schemes for the people. You should take this message to people. Every individual must rise to defend our state,"
