Tamil Nadu assembly polls 2016: Stalin says DMK will win all 234 seats

Chennai, April 29: As Tamil Nadu will got to assembly elections on Monday, May 16, dravidian political parties of the state have already stared their election campaigns in full swing.

DMK chief M Karunanidhi younger son and party's treasurer MK Stalin is confident that the DMK will win all 234 assembly seats in the forthcoming elections. [Special Coverage: Assembly Elections 2016]

In an interview with TOI, 63-year-old Stalin, who is contesting from Kolathur constituency said that even Jayalalithaa will find it difficult to win R K Nagar.

In an apparent attack towards Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa-led AIADMK government, Stalin said, "Freebies don't work anymore", while adding that "development and job creation does."

"People don't want freebies. About 40% of voters are youngsters. They want jobs. They are fed up with corruption and flight of investments", he said.

He also alleged that AIADMK has pushed the state to 50 years back.

On being asked about his projection as Tamil Nadu CM, if DMK comes to power, Stalin said, " work for the party , not to become CM.I'm just doing service."
