Spot The International Space Station In Chennai: Dates, Times For Naked-Eye Viewing!
The International Space Station (ISS), known as the "third brightest object in the sky and easy to spot if you know when to look up" according to NASA, can be seen from Chennai skies during specific dates in May 2024.
NASA has identified several viewing opportunities for observing the ISS from May 8 to May 23, 2024.

Spot The International Space Station In Chennai
The ISS was visible today for seven minutes starting at 7:09 pm, appearing 10° above the southwest (SW) horizon and disappearing 10° above the north-northeast (NNE). For those who missed today's viewing, the ISS will be visible tomorrow at 5:02 am for six minutes.
On May 12, during the early morning hours, the ISS will be visible at 4:14 am for four minutes. It will appear at 10° above the north (N) horizon and disappear at 10° above the east (E). Additionally, there will be an evening viewing opportunity at 7:08 pm for four minutes, with the ISS appearing 10° above the west (W) horizon and disappearing 10° above the north-northwest (NNW).
The ISS will also be visible on May 13 and 14 at 5:00 am and 4:14 am, respectively. On May 13, it will be visible for six minutes, appearing 10° above the northwest (NW) horizon and disappearing 10° above the south-southeast (SSE). On May 14, the ISS will be visible for three minutes, appearing 59° above the east-southeast (ESE) horizon and disappearing 10° above the southeast (SE).
