A disturbing video has surfaced from Theni, a town in Tamil Nadu, showing staff members of a private children's shelter placing a toddler in a garbage bin and rolling it around while the child cries in distress.

The incident occurred at J.J. Prodigies, a private children's shelter located on Chidambaranar Street under Theni Municipality. The shelter, managed by a woman named Jennifer, provides daycare services for children, including those with disabilities, whose parents work during the day and pick them up in the evening. The staff is responsible for their care and well-being.

In the shocking footage, a 1.5-year-old child is seen placed inside a garbage bin while staff members roll it around in a disturbing act. The video also captures two staff members swinging the bin like a cradle and later pretending to drop the child, causing alarm among viewers.

Following the video's emergence, a complaint was filed with the District Child Protection Unit. Officials visited the shelter and questioned the staff.
