Sasikala will be next general secretary: AIADMK

The AIADMK is even willing to amend rules to pave way for Sasikala Natarajan to become its General Secretary

Sasikala Natarajan will be the next General Secretary of the All India Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), said party spokesperson Ponnaiyan

Speaking to media on Thursday, Ponnaiyan declared that the entire party wishes for Sasikala to take over as its general secretary. "It is clear that Chinnamma will be the next General Secretary of the party. She has played a vital role in the glory that Amma attained. She has functioned as the conscience of Amma," he said.

The party's general body and working committee is expected to meet soon where the announcement is likely to be made. Ponnaiyan even went on to say that the party's executive will rewrite regulations if need be to make way for Sasikala.

"There will be no legal hurdle. If there is any, party's executive will amend it to pave way for her," he said.
