RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das Hospitalised; To Be Discharged Soon
RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das has been admitted to Apollo Hospital in Chennai.
"He is fine and nothing concerning. We will issue a formal statement soon," ANI quoted an RBI official as saying.

The Governor experienced acidity and was admitted to Apollo Hospital, Chennai for observation, the RBI spokesperson added. He will be discharged from the hospital in next two-three hours, he added.
A former member of the Fifteenth Finance Commission and India's Sherpa to the G20, Shaktikanta Das is currently serving as the 25th governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
He was a 1980 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Tamil Nadu cadre. In his long career as an IAS officer, he served in various capacities for Indian and Tamil Nadu governments, including as Economic Affairs Secretary, Revenue Secretary, Fertilizers Secretary. Notably, he also served as India's Alternate Governor in the World Bank, ADB, NDB & AIIB.
He has represented India in various international forums like the IMF, G20, BRICS, SAARC, etc.
