These temporary interruptions, often managed by the electricity department, are crucial for ensuring the long-term reliability and safety of the power grid. By proactively addressing issues and conducting necessary maintenance work, the electricity department can prevent unexpected outages and minimize the risk of more significant disruptions, ultimately ensuring a more stable and efficient electricity supply for consumers.
Moreover, planned power outages allow for the implementation of improvements and upgrades to the electrical system, such as the installation of new equipment or the expansion of capacity to meet growing demand.
