Poll Prediction: Will Annamalai Defeat DMK, AIADMK Candidates In Coimbatore? Dinamalar's Survey Is Out

In a bid to make inroads into Tamil Nadu politics, the BJP has left no stone unturned. Unlike earlier elections, the saffron party has worked hard on the ground and on social media to send out a message to the voters that it is a serious player in state politics.

Over the past year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made several visits to Tamil Nadu, aiming to leave a positive impression on voters. This time, the BJP has opted not to form alliances with major Dravidian parties like the DMK and the AIADMK, instead choosing to create its own coalition with smaller parties.

K Annamalai

With an objective to expand its voter base, the BJP aspires to secure a few seats in the upcoming elections. Notably, all eyes are on the Coimbatore constituency, where the party has fielded its state chief, K Annamalai.

The DMK has also taken this as a prestigious battle, taken back the seat from its ally CPIM and fielded its candidate Ganapathy P Rajkumar.

Singai Ramachandran has been nominated as the candidate for AIADMK. Hence, a fierce three-way contest has erupted in Coimbatore, with BJP, DMK, and AIADMK all competing for dominance.

So, will he be able to win the seat, this time?

As per the Dinamalar survey, the BJP is expected to secure a comfortable lead with 39.70 per cent of the vote share, followed by the DMK at 27.90 per cent, ADMK at 26.50 per cent, and NTK at 5.90 per cent.

It clearly indicates that Annamalai is likely to emerge victorious.

Meanwhile, the Times Now-ETG_Research Survey has predicted that the Annamalai-led BJP in Tamil Nadu is expected to become the second-largest party in terms of vote share after the DMK. The survey predicts that the saffron party will secure a 19 per cent vote share in the upcoming general elections in Tamil Nadu.

The DMK is projected to receive a 26 per cent vote share, while its ally Congress is expected to garner an 18 per cent vote share. Following closely, the BJP is anticipated to attain a 19 per cent vote share, with the AIADMK trailing at 17 per cent, and other parties collectively reaching 20 per cent.

The voting for the 39 Lok Sabha seats in Tamil Nadu will be held on Friday.
