No Comments: Rajinikanth On Large Gatherings At Thalapathy Vijay's TVK Event

Tamil superstar Rajinikanth has refused to comment related to Thalapathy Vijay's political gatherings which have hogged a lot of attention in the recent times.

Speaking to reporters in Coimbatore, Rajinikanth gave an update about his next movie Jailer 2. He stated that the shooting for the movie will take place in Palakkad, Kerala, over six days and is expected to be completed by June or July.

He was asked by reporters if the large crowds that actors attract translate into votes. The question was related to Vijay pulling huge crowds at his rallies. In response, Rajinikanth said "no comments".

Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) president and popular actor Vijay started his 98-day political tour across Tamil Nadu last Saturday in Trichy. The city came alive as thousands of fans lined the streets to greet their beloved star with cheers, applause, and heartfelt gifts. Viral visuals on social media captured Vijay inside a van, flanked by tight security, waving to an enthusiastic crowd trailing his vehicle. The atmosphere was electric, with fans showering him with tokens of admiration.

Vijay's public rallies have been crowd pullers and have been talk of the town.

Vijay has set his eyes on the next assembly elections, scheduled to be held in 2026. However, Rajini had earlier sent his wishes to Vijay.

It is interesting to note that Rajinikanth too had plans to foray into politics and for close to two decades, he had kept his rivals on their toes. In the end, he decided not to take a plunge, citing age and health issues.

On the other hand, Rajinikanth has teamed up with Nelson again for Jailer 2. SJ Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, and others are in the cast.

Also, it has an extended cameo of Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, Kannada actor Shivaraj Kumar, Telugu actor Nandamuri Balakrishna and Hindi actor Mithu Chakraborty.
