Naan Mudhalvan – A Revolutionary Scheme And A Skills Workshop For Tamil Nadu Students
One of the unique schemes of the Dravidian model government is Naan Mudhalvan scheme, introduced on 01.03.2022 and benefited approximately 13 lakh people in just 19 months. Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin has issued appointment orders to 1200 students trained under Naan Mudhalvan scheme including the differently abled, the ceremony for which was conducted on 6th October 2023.
In the ceremony, Udhayanidhi Stalin introduced an app for learning English in Cambridge University and launched the Tamil Nadu Coders Premier League to identify young talent. At the ceremony Minister Udhayanidhi said, "The objective of the scheme is to train 10 lakh students but the beneficiaries target crossed 13 lakh."

Beneficiaries of the scheme and a program conducted in Kalaignar news channel gives insights about the details of the scheme, training provided and opportunities available.
One of the beneficiaries of the scheme, Krish is studying IT (Information Technology) in Madras Institute of Technology. For the last 3 semesters, Krish is studying Naan Mudhalvan syllabus which according to him was intellectual and informative. "I have joined a company now with a salary package of 25.5 lakh per annum", said Krish.

CM Stalin said this in the inauguration function of the scheme, "Not just me, everyone should be a leader. This is the intention behind the launch of Naan Mudhalvan scheme." Giving life to his words, Krish is now employed for a good position in a company.
Another beneficiary of the scheme said, "I couldn't join a technical course in a private institute because of the cost factor. The Naan Mudhalvan scheme came at the right time and I studied the technical course without any expense. In my opinion, Naan Mudhalvan syllabus is way better than the private institution's syllabus."

A girl student who is a beneficiary of the scheme said, "Being a person from a village background, I had no opportunity to learn about the software industry. I had to move to Chennai city to learn 3D experience CATIA (3D modelling and simulation tools). To study this, I applied for the Naan Mudhalvan scheme and attended both online and offline training. The biggest difficulty for me is English communication skills owing to my Tamil medium education but the Naan Mudhalvan training classes changed my perspective and made me feel confident. My sincere thanks to CM Stalin."
A beneficiary from city background said, "I can say with full confidence that Naan Mudhalvan syllabus is far better than any private coaching institutions. The beauty of the training lies in the balanced coverage of both theoretical and practical parts. The practical part makes the learning easy and long-lasting."
A student studying in 2nd year said, "Naan Mudhalvan program is not just a training, its marks are considered as credits which in turn are converted to be included in college marks. This arrangement kindles the interest of students who attend all classes without bunking off and also elevates the education of Tamil Nadu to a next level. Because of Naan Mudhalvan training classes I learnt skills needed for campus interviews such as aptitude and group discussion skills in the 2nd year itself."

Another girl student employed in a private company said, "I studied Electric Vehicle Design course, Advanced EV and Industry 4.0. The Naan Mudhalvan scheme made it all possible. It is the reason why my profile stood out compared to other students and the reason why I was able to land this job."

Finally a student who is also a beneficiary of the scheme said, "I got the AR (Augmented Reality) and VR (Virtual Reality) course via Naan Mudhalvan scheme. AR and VR technologies are widely used for creating effects in Hollywood movies. The opportunities to study these technologies in our engineering courses are very less. Fortunately, the Naan Mudhalvan program offers courses on AR and VR which encouraged me to study about AR and VR, that too free of cost."
The DMK government yet again proved that its Dravidian model government strives to establish social justice and what other better way to reach there than through education.
