Madras HC Slaps Rs 1 Lakh Fine On Mansoor Ali Khan Over Case Against Trisha, Khushbu
The Madras High Court on Friday slapped Rs 1 lakh fine after he filed a defamation case against actress Trisha Krishnan, BJP leader Khushbu and Telugu actor Chiranjeevi over their comments criticising him on his sexist comments.
Justice N Satish Kumar said that the actor had sought court intervention for publicity and imposed a fine of Rs 1 Lakh to be paid to Adyar Cancer Institute. The court also noted that the actors' reactions to derogatory comments against women were a normal human response, which did not warrant the filing of a defamation suit, according to Live Law website.

In an interview, Khan had said that he had signed Vijay's 'Leo' believing that he would get "bedroom" scenes with Trisha, but the makers did not even show her on the sets. "When I heard that I was acting with Trisha, I thought there would be a bedroom scene in the film. I thought that I could carry her to the bedroom just like I did with other actresses in my earlier movies. I have done so many rape scenes in a number of movies and it's not new to me. But these guys didn't even show Trisha to me on the sets during the Kashmir schedule," ANI quoted him as saying.
BJP leader and member of the National Commission for Women (NCW) Khushbu Sundar has said that actiuon will be taken against him. "As a member of NCW, I have already taken up the issue of Mansoor Ali Khan with my senior and will be taking an action on it. Nobody can get away with such a filthy mind. I stand with @trishtrashers and my other colleagues where this man speaks in such a sexist disgusting mindset about them, including me," Sundar posted on X. "When we are fighting tooth and nail to protect women and bring dignity to them, such men are like a bot in our society," the BJP leader added in his post.
Telugu Megastar Chiranjeevi condemned the Tamil actor's comments and extended his support. He said, "My attention was drawn to some reprehensible comments made by actor Mansoor Ali Khan about Trisha.
The comments are distasteful and disgusting not just for an Artiste but for any woman or girl. These comments must be condemned in the strongest words. They reek of perversion.
I stand with @trishtrashers and every woman who has to be subject to such horrid comments."
Later, Khan issued an apology, but surprisingly, days later he sent defamation suits to Trisha, Khushbu and Chiranjeevi.
