Lok Sabha Elections 2024: PM Narendra Modi, K Annamalai Hold Roadshow In Chennai, Woo Voters To Elect BJP
With Lok Sabha elections 2024 around the corner, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a mega roadshow in Chennai on Tuesday. PM Modi was accompanied by BJP's South star campaigner and Tamil Nadu unit president K Annamalai, who is leaving no stone unturned to woo the voters to elect the saffron front in the upcoming elections. PM Modi and Annamalai's roadshow was held at Thiyagaraya Road from Panagal Park to Teynampet in the city's T. Nagar.

Along with both the heavyweight leaders, PM Modi and K Annamalai, BJP's Tamilisai Soundararjan and Vinoj P Selvam who are contesting elections from South Chennai and Central Chennai were also present in an open jeep during the roadshow.
During the roadshow in Chennai, PM Modi was dressed in a white shirt and the traditional 'veshti' (dhoti) and an angavastram (shawl) on his shoulder. Prime Minister was also carrying a small placard of lotus (BJP's symbol) in his hand.

After the road show, Tamil Nadu BJP chief K Annamalai said, "When Prime Minister Narendra Modi comes to Chennai, the people of Chennai welcome our PM like their own son. The people of Chennai welcomed Narendra PM Modi with open arms. Today's road show of PM Modi is historic. The mood of Tamil Nadu through this roadshow is very clear and people are really excited and this is going to reflect on April 19 in a very big way."
In Tamil Nadu, the BJP has joined hands with Pattali Makkal Katchi and Tamil Maanila Congress-Moopanar to contest against the ruling DMK and former alliance partner AIADMK. This time the party is depending heavily on Annamalai, who is popular among the youth of the state.
K Annmalai will contest polls from Coimbatore against DMK's Ganapathi P Raj Kumar and AIADMK's Ramachandran Govindarasu.
Reports said Prime Minister will stay in Chennai overnight and will address a rally in Vellore on Wednesday. PM Modi will do the campaign in favor of NDA candidates K Annamalai, Union Minister L Murugan, and PMK's Soumya Anbumani.
Tamil Nadu BJP chief K Annamalai had informed the media about PM's tomorrow rally and he is also expected to visit the state again on April 12.
