Karunanidhi alone can implement prohibition, says Kanimozhi

Vellore (TN), Apr 29: DMK leader Kanimozhi has said her father and party president M Karunanidhi will fulfill all promises made in their manifesto for the May 16 Assembly polls in Tamil Nadu.

"Kalaignar (Karunanidhi) will implement all the promises made. He promised farm loan waiver earlier and had implemented it. This time, among others, he has assured waiving student loans and he will certainly do it," she said.

Addressing an election meeting here last night, Kanimozhi said Karunanidhi is the "only leader" who can implement prohibition in the state. For Tamil Nadu to prosper, DMK has to come to power, she said.

"If farmers have to prosper, DMK has to come to power. If Tamil Nadu should get industries and youths jobs, DMK has to come to power," she said.
