Kamal Haasan's MNM To Join INDIA Bloc? 'Good News In 2 Days', Says Actor
Actor and 'Makkal Needhi Maiam' president Kamal Haasan on Monday said that he will give "good news" on his party's alliance ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha polls in the next few days.
"In two days I will meet you with good news. Work for the Parliament election is going well and we are hoping for a good opportunity. Regarding the alliance, we will announce the decision in two days," Kamal Haasan told ANI. Of late, there have been speculations that his party will join the INDIA bloc.

After completing works related to his upcoming film 'Thug Life' in the US, Kamal Haasan returned to Chennai on Monday.
In the earlier elections, Kamal Haasan's 'MNM' had gone solo.
However last year, DMK leader and Tamil Nadu minister Udhayanidhi Stalin had given a hint his party allying with Haasan's MNM ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
"The party leaders will decide on the alliance (with Kamal Haasan's Makkal Needhi Maiam party) at the time of the elections," Stalin had said.
It may be recalled that Haasan had come in defence of Udhayanidhi Stalin during the 'Sanatana Dharma' controversy against the latter saying that a young child (Udhayanidhi) was being targeted just because he spoke about Sanatana.
Haasan established MNM in 2018 and yet encountered setbacks in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections and the 2021 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. Subsequently, MNM offered its backing to the ruling DMK-led Secular Progressive Alliance contender during the by-elections in Erode.
Furthermore, Haasan joined Congress MP Rahul Gandhi during his 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' upon its arrival in Tamil Nadu in December 2022.
On the work front, he is busy with Mani Ratnam's 'Thug Life'. The movie has Jayam Ravi, Trisha Krishnan, Dulquer Salmaan, Nassar and others in the cast.
