Jayalalithaa was people’s Chief Minister says TN Guv
Governor Vidyasagar had flown down to Chennai on Sunday evening after the late leader suffered a cardiac arrest at the Apollo hospital.
Tamil Nadu Governor VidyaSagar Rao called Jayalalithaa a charismatic leader in his condolence message. The governor also called her an 'embodiment of women's empowerment'.

Governor Vidyasagar had flown down to Chennai on Sunday evening after the late leader suffered a cardiac arrest at the Apollo hospital. He has been the point of contact for the Union government in Tamil Nadu which was in a panic mode after reports of Jayalalithaa's health worsening started making the rounds.

In his message, the governor also said that passing away of Jayalalithaa has caused an irreparable loss to the nation in general and Tamil Nadu in particular. He fondly remembered the time she had received him on the day he had come to assume office.
