Jayalalithaa receives TN acting Governor-designate
Chennai, Sep 2: Maharashtra Governor Chennamaneni Vidyasagar Rao, who has been given additional charge of Tamil Nadu, arrived here today.
He was received at the airport by Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, her cabinet colleagues and senior state officials. Lok Sabha Deputy Speaker M Thambidurai was also present. Rao is slated to be sworn-in as the acting Governor of Tamil Nadu this evening at the Raj Bhavan, officials said.
He has been given the additional charge as the tenure of K Rosaiah ended on August 30.
