In North, Upper Caste Man Can Urinate On Lower Caste Boy, Nobody Can Question: DMK MP
DMK leader TKS Elangovan on Monday triggered a controversy with his statement on the 'urinating incidents' that occurred in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh a few months ago.
While attacking Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi, he said that an upper caste man can urinate on a lower caste boy and nobody makes it a big issue.

"In the North, an upper caste man can urinate on a lower caste boy and nobody can question. That is the kind of social justice from Mr Ravi's area. How he is acting towards the lower caste people I don't know...I am calling him Mr Ravi because he has failed to act as a Governor," ANI quoted him in a tweet.
The DMK leader was referring to the incidents that occurred in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. A man was caught peeing on a tribal man in July and the clip of the incident had gone viral. This had become a major issue in the poll-bound state.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Chouhan had washed the feet of the victim and apologised to him over the incident. In a similar incident, a man urinated on the ears of a Dalit youth in Uttar Pradesh's Sonbhadra district.
Attacking the Governor for not clearing the bills, the DMK leader then said, "What is the duty of the Governor? To give ascent to the bills passed by the legislature but he has not done that duty and is serving as the stooge of the RSS group."
The Governor and the ruling DMK and its allies have sparred over a number of issues including his reluctance to approve the TN Assembly bill seeking NEET exemption for the state.
Meanwhile, the DMK had recently hit the headlines after its minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, son of Chief Minister MK Stalin, targeted Sanatana Dharma by comparing it with Dengue, Malaria and Covid-19.
Addressing a gathering, Udhayanidhi had said, "There are some things which we have to eradicate and we can't merely oppose. Mosquitoes, dengue fever, malaria, corona, all these are things which we cannot oppose, we have to eradicate them. Sanatanam is also like this."
The minister was speaking at an event organised by the Tamil Nadu Progressive Writers Artists Association on the theme of 'eradication of Sanatana'.
"I thank the organisers of this conference for giving me the opportunity to deliver a special address. You have kept the name of the conference as 'Sanatana Abolition Conference' rather than 'Anti-Sanatana Conference', I appreciate that," news agency ANI quoted Udhayanidhi as saying. "A few things cannot be opposed, that should be abolished only. We can't oppose dengue, mosquitoes, malaria, or corona. We have to eradicate this, that's how we have to eradicate Sanatana. Rather opposing Sanatana it should be eradicated," Udhayanidhi was quoted as saying.
