Former Judge of Madras High Court passes away
Justice Sampath, who retired in 2003, was the head of the Commission of Inquiry appointed by the government to probe into the causes of the fire that killed 94 students.
Chennai, Dec 7: Justice K Sampath, former Judge of Madras High Court, died at his residence following cardiac arrest, family sources said. Justice Sampath (75) is survived by wife, a lawyer, and two sons.

Justice Sampath, who retired in 2003, was the head of the Commission of Inquiry appointed by the government to probe into the causes of the fire that killed 94 students of Sri Krishna Primary School, Kumbakonam on July 16, 2004.
In his report he had also made recommendations on the actions to be taken to prevent such incidents.
