Chess: Anand loses yet again, Carlsen needs just a daw to win title

Chennai, Nov 21: Defending champion Vishwanathan Anand lost the ninth game to challenger Magnus Carlsen of Norway in the ongoing World Chess Championship here on Thursday.

It meant Carlsen was just a half-point away from the crown. The ninth game was crucial for Anand who was trailing 3-5 till the beginning of the match and the defeat meant Anand's grip on the crown became loose. Carlsen will need just a draw from here to win the title.
