Chennai: What did Jaya 'Amma' tell school students?
Chennai, July 20: Students of Adyar's Sishya school were in for a surprise when they were invited by Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa for an interaction.
After a brief interaction with the students, the CM also posed for a group picture with the students. According to sources, the interaction was impromptu and not scheduled. She told the students, "Now this is the age where all of you should concentrate mainly on your studies and of course extra curricular activities which means, you should not spend all your time in front of the computer or the TV, play video games. You should also go out and play in a healthy manner. You should engage yourself in sports and games also."

She further added that this was the most unexpected pleasure and surprise for her since she never thought that she would have this opportunity of meeting and interacting with "so many bright, well-educated and well-behaved youngsters".
The students and the teachers were presented with mementos and souvenirs after the interaction. As a parting speech, she said, "I am sure all of you will have a very bright future in whatever field you choose to take up and if at any time you require the assistance of the government of Tamil Nadu, we are here, I am here to give your school and yourselves all the assistance that you may need."
The chief minister invited the students when they were visiting the historical site of Fort St. George.
